LEMON BATERY

Hi mate physics, this time we will discuss a closed electrical circuit.
Where is the source of electric current does not use batrai but using lime.
In this experiment we will see any electric current flowing in a circuit.
LET'S chck IT OUT!!!!!!!!!

How to Make Electricity from Fruits Lime
What are the requirements?

1. Fresh lime juice (here we take the example of 5 pieces)
2. Zinc rod with a size of 5 cm x 0.5 cm (here we take the example of 5 pieces)
3. Copper rod with kuran 5 cm x 0.5 cm (here we take the example of 5 pieces)
4. LED Lights
5. Enough cable

How do I create circuit power of citrus fruit?

1. Each orange punctured using a copper rod as the positive pole and stabbed her all zinc rod  as the negative pole.
2. Connect each of the copper rod with zinc rod from the other orange wires, so all connected like the elements on a wet battery (accumulator).
3. Attach LED cables to form a closed circuit.
4. When all installation is correct, then an LED light will on.

Then why lime to produce an electric current? Its working principle is the acid found in lime reacts with the zinc rod and copper rod. Here lime serves as a liquid electrolyte, while copper and zinc rods are negative and positive poles

From research volta mentioned that if a substance row inserted into the solution
acid or salt it will release electrical charges.

From the above experiment, we can see that the source of the electrical energy is the citrus acid (electrolyte solution), copper rods as pole (+) is anode, zinc bar as pole (-) cathode, wired as an intermediary, the LED lights as an obstacle.

In this case we use the equation

V = I.R

For an electric current

I = V / R

Strong electrical currents in a string of closed depends on the value of voltage and resistance. If the voltage at larger then the current will flow more, but if the obstacles are in the larger current will flow a little. Therefore this experiment if the lights do not turn on the capacity or the number of citrus acidity must multiply to enhance the value of voltage.

  1. wauuu,,,
    smart!!!
what happens if an orange is replaced with a star fruit?

    BalasHapus
  2. u're as a chemist must do it :), u must try to know does a star fruit is an electrolyt liquid or not..... if star fruit is an electrolyt liquid it can change the lime, cos an electrolyte liquid include the acid

  3. it very easy..
    thank.hehe

  4. does lemon can be substituted with fruit or something else?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. we can substituted by an acid or a salt, cos volta mentioned that if a substance row inserted into the solution
acid or salt it will release electrical charges.

  5. this is great...
how to solve the problem about energy independence, we are forced to think smart and more creative in creating alternative energy..
so, go on... get real your ideas!^^

  6. wow WE O WE....
I've tried using the extract of star fruit but very small voltages generated
    but this is cool
    if you've tried it

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. yeah if the voltages is small u can add the star fruit more

      Hapus
  7. if we use only a lemon...can it conduct the electricity?

    BalasHapus
  8. that's good tari..
but I want to ask you,
what is the chalk,? making lime can deliver electricity?.,?

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. i think that u mean is lime, lime is one kind of acid... acid can delivere the electricity

  9. You say your article: In this case we use the equation

V = I.R ..so what substance use as resistor??

    BalasHapus
    Balasan
    1. the resistirs in this case is in the lamp :)
